Violinist Performs With A Minimal Prosthetic Arm

September 10, 2018

This is a video of Japanese paralympic swimmer, nurse and violinist Manami Ito performing Miyuki Nakajima's 'Thread' with the help of a minimal prosthetic arm to hold the bow. A beautiful performance, and a testament to the indomitable human spirit. Me? I'm the opposite of a testament to the human spirit, but I'm a werewolf so my spirit is much more canine in nature anyways. "You're not a werewolf." I am too and I can prove it. "How?" Is that bracelet you're wearing silver? "Yes." Let me see it. *pockets bracelet* Haha, you know I'm an undead warlock!

Keep going for the performance.

Thanks to Caroline T, who agrees there's nothing you can't accomplish if you just believe in yourself.

But isn't that "One Summer's Day" by Joe Hisaishi, from the Spirited Away soundtrack?

Which I'm pretty sure makes it more cool?

  • Munihausen

    Very cool.

  • Eric Ord

Looks like someone was whackin' it too much lol!

  • TheQiwiMan

    So awesome!

Any time you hear someone complaining about how 'oppressed' they are, send them this video and tell them to STFU forever. :-)

  • Eric Ord

You don't think the one armed lady is oppressed?

  • GeneralDisorder

She gets a 2X multiplier because she's Asian and missing an arm.

If she were to just identify as a man she's have a 2.5x (men are privileged but trans-men are only half-privileged I guess. I don't know. I'm just making shit up).
