Dinner And A Show: Pizza Delivery Boy Shows Off Very Impressive Piano Skills During A Delivery

This is a video of 18-year old Hungry Howie's pizza delivery specialist Bryce Dudal performing the third movement of Beethoven's 'Moonlight Sonata' (Piano Sonata No. 14) on a Sterling Heights, Michigan family's piano after asking them if he could play it while making a routine pepperoni pizza delivery. Clearly, somebody was hoping for a fiver. Me? I would have given him ten. "Bucks?" No -- seconds to get off my lawn. There's an Eyes Wide Shut style orgy going on in here, the special instructions explicitly stated you're supposed to leave the pizza by the stone lion statue and leave. Didn't you see the sock on the door? "Who orders pizza to an orgy anyways?" People with experience who love mushrooms and black olives.

Keep going for the performance, which really is fantastic, especially considering he's playing from memory and isn't a Westworld robot.

Thanks to MSA, who agrees the greatest gift a pizza delivery person can give you is free breadsticks and/or being willing to swing by the beer store for a 12-pack on their way over.

I would so donate money to a "Pimp My Pizza Van" project where we turned a huge van into a roaming pizza delivery / piano concert venue - OR the ultimate Food Truck with classical music!! OMG that actually is a pretty neat idea.

Fun fact: the apocryphal tale that's floated around forever is that when BTO was recording the 80s classic Takin Care of Business the pizza delivery guy heard the song in progress and said "you know, if you added a piano that song would rock." "O'Reilly?", said Randy Bachman, "what sort of piano?" and the pie dude sat down and hammered out the track, collected his pizza money, and left. They never found out who he was.
Cute story later clarified as a passing music producer not involved with BTO instead of a delivery guy and he brought in one of his session players, but I prefer the pie version.

And people say studying to be a musician doesn't pay off.

  • Mark

So far it hasn't. He's still delivering pizzas. :-)

I suspect things will be changing for him though.

  • Douchy McDouche

Yeah, those pizza orders will go through the roof!

  • GeneralDisorder

He's 18. He's just getting started. He'll be a traveling piano man in no time... living his life on the road begging for change wherever pianos are found.

  • Damon Sherman

    ah, music majors.

"The impressed family posted this video of Bryce playing and it has since gone viral, appearing on national news and talk shows..." AND preeminent geeky blogs.

    aaaaaaannnndddddd... he's fired

  • TheQiwiMan

I did sort of the same thing when I was delivering pizzas. Except instead of asking to play with a fancy piano, I asked large breasted women if I could play with dem tehtehs.

Shockingly, it never really went all that well.

    Mama's got a squeeze box
    She wears on her chest
    And when Daddy comes home
    He never gets no rest

    Cause she's playing all night
    And the music's alright
    Mama's got a squeeze box
    Daddy never sleeps at night

  • Mark

    There's a movie about you!

  • Bling Nye

You forgot to put your dick in the pizza and ask who ordered the extra large sausage pizza.

  • Fartbutt

Damn. He should be in a metal band cuz that was actually pretty hardcore.

  • Mark

    Beethoven was hardcore

  • Salvare000

It's only as hardcore as Beethoven's first rendition so yeah pretty metal
