Poster Of Iconic 1980's Movie Characters

June 18, 2018

Note: Larger version HERE. Prints available HERE.

This is Eighty2, a poster created by Illustrator Scott Park featuring some of the most iconic movie characters from 1980's movies (previously: his poster of famous pop culture cars and a video of every Star Wars vehicle drawn to scale). Can you identify them all? Not only was I easily able to identify them all, I also did it in world record time. "Not everything is a competition, you know." Except this was and I won. I'm also a Jeopardy wizard and once beat Ken Jeggings. "It's Jennings." That's what I meant -- you better count that, Alex.

Thanks to hairless, for reminding me of Flight Of The Navigator, which I will spend this afternoon watching on my phone.

Alright I think I recognize all of these. Which is odd because my "pop culture blind spot" is basically all of pop culture.

Some of these are super obscure.

So top row is Rick and Morty; uh, skip the second column; some BDSM porno; Beetlejuice? Actually don't know that red/blue motherfucker; StormTrooper 4859; another porno (something about man-boy love; and uh... Harry from Harry and the Hendersons.

Gonna skip the second row but the third guy in is definitely Solidus Snake and the sixth guy is Solid Snake.

Third row, nobody will get Buzz and Woody (fourth column) and Kevin Sorbo (IRL Kevin Sorbo) in column 5.

Gonna skip the fourth row. Except for Bill Nye (third)

Fifth row, first column. I always loved Beavis and Butthead. Skip the rest.

Skipping all of the sixth row..

Seventh row, fourth column is Mac from Mac and Me (terrible movie, do not watch)

And... the last row 6th column is that one guy from South Park who got frozen and revived in the early seasons.

    The Eighties ruled.

  • MWinter

Were Batman '89 and Star Wars left off because they weren't created in the 80s? Cause they were definitely box office giants in the 80s.

  • Mark

    I want my two dollars!

  • toba_fett

The second one is Ferris Beuler.
