Okay: Man Mods Ford Station Wagon Into A Brick Pizza Oven

June 14, 2018

In other pizza news (I'm sorry, once I start thinking about it I can't stop), this is the Ford Mondeo station wagon that French artist Benedetto Bufalino modded into a brick pizza oven. Notice how I said modded INTO, and not modded WITH, because the car is no longer drivable -- only towable. That's a shame too because I've always dreamed of pulling up to a fancy party in a mobile crematorium. "Damn GW, lookin' HOT." Thanks, I feel like I'm on fire. "You are." Heck yeah, tell everyone to gather round and you can roast marshmallows on my pecs. "You call those pecs?" Calling them tits only makes me sad.

Keep going for one more shot and several Instagram videos of the car oven in action.

Thanks to Jeffrey S, who agrees somebody needs to mod a convertible with a hibachi grill.

  • Ghost Pirates

Man does whatever the fuck to something else.

  • Meh

Its pretty cool and at least it is an original creation, but why make something so much larger when it doesn't have to be.. I rather have something the size required.

  • TheQiwiMan

This is an exact quote my ex said to me on our wedding night.

  • Mark

It would have been better if the car was still drive-able. Just think of the tailgate parties!

  • Adibobea9

What's the point if you can't drive it somewhere…?

  • Fartbutt

No one will steal your firepit if it's a mini van

    ...I think

  • Jenness

Is it just me, or does it seem like it would taste a little gasoline-y? I know that pizza oven machinery probably has a lot more oil-based lubricants and machine parts with guck that this ended up having but it just seems gross.

  • GeneralDisorder

Having burned a couple cars (it was a different time... in a place that's culturally 20 to 30 years behind) I can say this is probably a bad idea.

Granted we don't have a build video. It really looks like it's just a normal brick oven built inside a vehicle shell. As long as the interior was gutted and there's a solid non-permeable layer under the fire brick it's probably safe.

  • The_Wretched

Can't taste it over the outgassing plastics.

  • TheQiwiMan

    My first thought too.

Please sign my whitehouse.gov petition to change the name of Geekologie to StarWarsAndPizza-ologieDotBiz

    DotBiz... *giggle*

  • Frédéric Purenne

GW definitely wanted some pizza this afternoon.

  • Big Dog on Krampus

these last two posts made me go get a pizza for dinner at the end of the day

the universe would collapse if this car drove down a road with potholes filled-in by Domino's

  • Bling Nye

This is in Flers, France, and the nearest Dominoes is in Paris.

So, the universe is at risk. We'll need volunteers to stage an elaborate mission to prevent the end of everything as we know it! What's Bruce Willis up to these days?
