Quick Reflexes: Forklift Operator Saves Falling Keg

April 23, 2018

This is a short video of a forklift operator springing into action to save a keg that falls from two pallets he's lifting. Obviously, the keg is empty. You can tell it's empty because it doesn't rip his arm off or yank him out of the seat when he catches it. Still, I feel like this man deserves a beer. I deserve one even more though so get mine first. "What did you do?" I rescued a kitten. "Did you though?" Well technically I saved a lion from poachers but you know I don't like to brag. "Is that so?" Check out my muscles!

Thanks to Landon P, who's thankful to know that keg lived to be filled with more delicious brewskis soon.

I think it hurt his hand more than his shoulder from his reaction, but still pretty quick reflex

I like how even after one falls he doesn't get out to check the rest of his load. just catches it and keeps driving

    Time is money baby!

    or casually revealed superpowers?

  • Chino Pisces

    Gay, like you are.

  • GeneralDisorder

The superpower is emptying the keg before it hits the ground.

moron has that load WAY too high.

I drove fork for a couple years after (dropping out of) college. 2 pallets is a standard stack in box trucks. Once they got in the warehouse, 3 or 4 or more pallet stacks were plenty common, depending on the product, some were stacked basically right up to the ceiling.

The real issue here is they should have some plastic wrap around the pallets to keep the load from shifting in the truck.

I meant too high off the ground.

Although his shoulder took a bit of a shock, most of the momentum was absorbed by the swing arc. Nice little physics lesson there.

Party fou...oh my god he saved it!
