Guy Ties World Record On GoldenEye's Train Level After Seven Years

April 25, 2018

Seven years after Marc Rützou set the new Train level speed record of 0:57 (agent difficulty), this is a video of GoldenEye speedrunner Henrik Norgren tying the time and taking/tying the lead for the level in all difficulties (agent, special agent, 00 agent). For reference, I've never even made it that far in the game. Also, respect to Henrik for believing in himself. Believing in yourself is hard, especially when you're as bad at everything as I am. "Sounds like you could use a hug, GW." The Grim Reaper, everybody. *spreading arms* Come here, you!

Keep going for the record breaking performance.

Thanks to Carsten, who just set a 0:56 but forgot to record it. Ha! Happens to me all the time.

  • Munihausen

    Great game

  • Draco Basileus

He spent a lot of time training for this.

  • Meh

I'm skeptical now, lets wait another 7 years for someone doing a frame by frame analysis to see if this wasn't secretly done on a emulator.

  • GeneralDisorder

Well... Playing on an emulator isn't necessarily cheating. But when you save and reload from snapshots until you get the time you want it really cuts down on how long it takes.

  • Jenness

I'm always curious how many hours and hours of playing to get to that :57 seconds it took.

  • Geekologie

    I'm guessing seven years worth

  • Jenness

Unless it involves multiple orgasms that make me pass out, nothing is worth spending 7 years on for :57 seconds.
