First Person POV Footage Of A Drone Racer Speeding Through A Crazy Obstacle Course

March 1, 2018

This is the onboard footage from Youtuber NURK FPV's racing drone as it speeds through an extremely complicated obstacle course (which appears to be at least partially constructed of thrift store clothing donations). It's pretty intense. It's also pretty much the perfect video to watch if you've just been sitting at your computer thinking, "I really wish I could get dizzy and puke right now." BOOM -- you get the rest of the day off. Granted I usually just look at all pictures people have tagged me in on Facebook to make myself sick, but this works too.

Keep going for the video.

Thanks to K Diddie, for earning his first Geekologie gold-star sticker for three tips in one day. Wear it proudly, but it has to be removed and destroyed at midnight.

Well a few songs come to mind then that track they choose. Idk Star Wars trench run, iron eagle theme, rockstar, idk a bunch of others... god am I the only one who likes this kinda music to this?

  • Doog

How the hell do you remember the tracks path? Makes me think of those Dog Show's where they go through all kinds of obstacles with no clear 'correct path' even though there totally is one and the dogs with their owners manage to figure it out.

This is Nurk's RACING drone. In Performance Multi Rotors, freestyle and racing are two different setups/styles. Also, this isn't the first guy to do this. It's been years in the making. If you want to see some amazing freestyle, look up johnny fpv, mr. steele, stingy, etc. Some amazing racing, check out anyone on the DRL circuit.

The '80s movie Runaway with Tom Selleck had to stitch together hand-held camera footage with pixelated animation to get a similar POV shot for a fictional "smart bullet." These days people shoot wilder footage with toy drones on their coffee break.

'Pilot Wings' did not prepare me for this

  • First PERSON view? Shouldnt' it be first DRONE view?

    I'll see myself out...

  • Frédéric Purenne

If you wish to not offend it, it says it actually identifies itself as an Apache helicopter. Thanks.

I watched 3 loops of that gif and now...

  • GeneralDisorder

I watched the whole thing but I definitely felt bad about it.
