Driver's Reflexes Save Man Crossing Highway On Foot At Night

October 13, 2017

Note: Language, almost killed somebody.

This is a short video of a driver listening to Is It Love Radio on Pandora (I rotated and flipped the image because I work for CSI and am a natural born zoom-and-enhancer) narrowly avoiding a crazy person walking (or possibly biking? I may have seen a bike) across the highway at night. Clearly, somebody likes playing Frogger on hardcore mode.

Keep going for the video, but don't blink or you'll hit him.

Thanks to Marcus O, who agrees this is exactly why affordable jetpacks need to exist.

Must have really good tires too, but nice driving. This could have ended so badly for someone who was just minding his own business...

  • Hazakabammer

I 100% would've hit the guy. And I wouldn't have felt bad about it either. World's better off with every Darwin award.

"...And I wouldn't have felt bad"
    Well,at least hurt,I suppose.

  • Hazakabammer

Natural selection man. If someone hasn't figured out standing in traffic or walking across the highway is a bad decision by the time they're 30-40 like this guy, it's a wonder they haven't choked from not chewing their food by now. We're all better off with them dying.

My Aunt & Uncle were returning from their honeymoon in Ensenada (that's in Mexico, kids) and it didn't work out so well for thier interloper. Yep. They splattered a dude making an illegal border crossing. And their marriage has pretty much followed suit ever since.

  • Frédéric Purenne

OMG! I didn't even see him before he swerved.

  • Jenness

That scared me, I would have hit that person - I watched it again in full screen and still didn't notice.

  • GeneralDisorder

Having grown up in rural Pennsylvania and driven probably 100,000 miles before I turned 21 (then driven drunk another 100,000 miles between age 21 and 23) I definitely watch for deer but in a place like that I sure as hell wouldn't be watching for any kind of living critters walking across an urban 8 lane highway right next to the on-ramps.

  • dougfunnay

the contrast in the video probably makes it a little harder to see than it would be in person (still though)

  • Bosun Higgs

As I tell others who swerve for squirrels in the road, "You just promoted bad genes."

  • Wiley

So if I create a steam roller the size of a cruise ship and drive it over your house while you sleep, am I helping the gene pool? Or were you just not bred to handle that kind of obliteration by a relatively massive construct? Not sjw for squirrels, I realize that I am an ass.

  • Martin Ruby

I haven't got the time nor the crayons to explain this to you...

  • Wiley

Dont worry, I always carry a pack of crayola in my batman lunch box. I'm also a time wizard. Please splain it to me. Lemme just get my- oh curses, I left my wand at karate club. FUCK

  • Martin Ruby

Even though i do not agree with your reply to Bosun Higgs.
I must admit... This reply made me laugh.

Well Wiley, if he's walking his house around in dark clothes on a poorly lit highway where your steamroller is doing 70? Yeah. Totally helping it.

  • TheQiwiMan

That dude was wanting to commit suicide in an extremely selfish way.

  • Hazakabammer

I should set up a dark web site that offers assisted suicide. I wouldn't feel any guilt at all since I'm basically a sociopath at this point.
