Oh, Internet: Smash Mouth's 'All Star' Performed On Two Musical Calculators

September 26, 2017

Because the internet will never stop internetting, this is a video of Smash Mouth's 1999 hit 'All Star' being performed on two musical calculators by Youtube channel It's a small world. They also have a bunch of other musical calculator covers, so feel free to check out their channel if you're into that. If you're not into that maybe you should check out something else. Maybe take a look at this rash for me? What do you think? "It doesn't look good." Yeah, but what does it look like? "The shape of Australia?" I thought so too! You think I could charge homesick Aussie tourists to throw a boomerang at it?

Keep going for the video while I try to remember that story and equation you solve on your calculator to spell BOOBIES at the end. That was a huge hit in middle school, and I didn't even know what boobies were back then (and still aren't 100% sure).

Thanks to Alex, who agrees musical calculators are cool, but nothing beats playing Drugwars or Snake on a TI-82 or TI-83.

I imagine more than one accountant has pleasured themselves to this.

That seems unlikely but considering how many views there are, you're probably right.

FYI, that's yet another copy-cat comment that's shown up... I don't know if you noticed, but there's been a proliferation of differnet low comment users doing copy/paste jobs on disqus comments... for what purpose, is yet unclear. I posted the exact same thing 2 hours prior in reply to QiwiMan. This same account did the same thing http://geekologie.com/2017/... here, and presumably all the comments from that account are copy/paste jobs. If I had to guess it's to try and create "legitimate" spam accounts that don't get blocked as easily, or artificially inflate numbers or user counts somewhere else. Just a guess though.

  • This is over my head.
    I only got a C in Maths.
Also, sounds like an 80's computer game.

  • TheQiwiMan

That right there is a whole lotta math being done.
