Netflix Releases Stranger Things Posters Inspired By Classic Horror Film Posters

September 18, 2017

This is a series of Stranger Things posters recently released by Netflix that were heavily inspired (they're near identical) by famous horror movie posters of yesteryear. The movies include Alien, Nightmare On Elm Street, Evil Dead, Firestarter, The Running Man (not exactly a horror film but they included it anyways) and Jaws. Which is your favorite? I thought they were all okay, but my favorite is the one I just made myself. "That's a bar napkin." But look what I drew on it. A stick figure wearing glasses? And what does it say? "Boobs alive?" Not boob -- BARB. Barb's alive. Come on, my handwriting isn't that bad.

Keep going for five more, as well as their inspirations for reference.

Thanks to Caroline FJ, who agrees some people would pay good money to visit the upside down because they're sickos with too much money.

  • Not Sure

That last one looks like it it would be a better match with tremors poster

  • Scott Willbanks

i thought the same. Definitely Tremors

  • GeneralDisorder

You know... I enjoyed Stranger Things quite a bit but I really despised how the creators stood up on stage and talked smack about Donald Trump like they had some kind of political knowledge or influence.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a Trump supporter but hollywood elitist pigs tend to be out of touch with reality and angry rednecks use that kind of thing as fuel for their respective fervor. It was generally not a great idea for them to blab about politics at an award show wearing clothes that cost more than some people's homes.

  • Big Dog on Krampus

i wouldn't call The Running Man a horror movie, but i love it all the same

  • FearlessFarris

Am I the only guy who thinks Stranger Things season 1 was good, but not great?

  • TheQiwiMan

Loved it the first viewing, then upon the half dozen re-binges ... yeah good but only potential to become great.

  • WhiteEagle2

I think it was good, not great. However, it left me wanting more and hoping that it could eventually be great. So I'm excited to see if that will happen in Season 2.
