Apple's 'Bohemian Rhapsody' Siri Easter Egg

July 28, 2017

Apparently repeating "I see a little silhouetto of a man" to Siri will get her singing Queen's iconic 'Bohemian Rhapsody'. It's supposed to work on any device with Siri. I just tried it on my phone but it didn't work because my phone is a cordless house phone. My mom did yell at me to hang up though because she was talking to her sister in Florida.

Keep going for a video demonstration using an iTouch smartpad or whatever.

Thanks to Luc, who agrees Siri should learn more songs and start her own band.

Reporting on siri Easter eggs is like reporting on BuzzFeed's 'top ten knock-knock jokes' article.

  • captaindash

This blog is random schtuff that people might find interesting. This is something that many people will try at home and involves current nearly ubiquitous tech. How does this not fit in exactly perfectly with what Geekologie is about?

  • Nicholas Conrad

Nearly ubiquitous? You do realize that about 85% of smartphone owners use Android right? Ios (and therefore siri) are niche tech. And a buzzfeed article about knock-knock jokes would also be weird 'schtuff' people might try at home. How does that not fit on exactly perfectly with what my analogy was about?

  • captaindash

I pointed out that this is a techie thing that involves an iPad or iPhone, which are absolutely everywhere, and it's something those owners might want to try and that it fits in exactly with Geekologie, and your response is that 80% of smartphones are Android? That literally has zero to do with my point, and you've actually helped prove my point. 1 out of every 5 people has this technology in their pocket at all times (plus iPads). I am not on the nuts of some giant corporation to the point where it actually makes me angry when people use a competitors product. You picked a very strange thing to get all huffy over.

Very clever, very very clever. Do you what would be better though
Me- Do you expect me to talk?
Siri - No, Mr Kalyan, I expect you to die! There's nothing you can talk to me about that I don't already know!
And it would be true too. Eheheheheheheh.

GW, that easter egg has been floating around for weeks. But, don't worry.. we will always love you. "In the mouth!" Sorry, that was my cat.

Apple is so sad, bet he likes men too like most of the apple media and c level executives... here is an idea fix ITunes make siri not suck

Seriously wth is apple doing its been since 2007 they did anything , get angry.

  • Bespin

The main problem, I have with that is. Apple is gearing itself towards gays between their 6 color emblem. Their CEO and, when you listen to podcasts and news. It's all gay men and that actually focus is. Apple wrong, it should be about everybody and it should be about the normal. Human activity when you focus on the subgroup like gays. Then there's a filter and no one seems to know what they're doing over there at Apple. So yes, I have a problem with it.

  • captaindash

It's bad if men like men?

  • Bespin

It's bad Apple focuses on that group

  • captaindash

I've been using Apple almost exclusively since 1998 and I've never noticed a single thing being specifically targeted to homosexuals. They used to use the rainbow Apple logo all the time back in the day and now they don't (that I can find, and that includes products, websites, stores, and a Google search for Apple ad). Regardless, the rainbow was there long before Cook so it meant "refracted light", not "gay" so it's irrelevant.

They say seek and ye shall find, and I guess you were seeking gay and found it, even if it wasn't there.

  • Bespin

Look at pundits of apple all seem to be homosexual

  • Jenness

Alexa has a lot of fun little ones like that - like it will sing you happy birthday, tell you jokes and when you curse at it - Alexa is not happy at all.

  • Bosun Higgs

Call it the "Wayne's World" easter egg.

  • That guy is such a dork.
