Sure, Why Not?: Adhesive Soles So You Can Run Around Near-Barefoot

June 15, 2017

This is the Kickstarter for Nakefit, thin adhesive shoe soles that give you the freedom to run around near-barefoot. They're allegedly waterproof, cut-proof, heat-resistant, and slip-proof, come in a variety of sizes in black, blue and pink, and cost around $33 for ten pairs. Admittedly, that's not that bad a price to pay for when a place of business tries to turn me down for not wearing shoes and I whip a pair of these bad boys out of my fanny pack. Will they let me in then? They better, or else. "Or else what?" I'll take my business elsewhere. "Whatever, you were just going to use their restroom and not buy anything anyways." How did you-- "Your poop dance." Gets me every time.

Keep going for a couple more shots and a video while I superglue a pair of Dr. Scholl's Massaging Gel Insoles to the bottom of my feet.

Thanks to Stephanie B, for reminding me it's about the time of year I start walking on broken glass and hot coals to toughen up the soles of my ninja feet for summer.

  • I'll wait for the lego test.

  • Joebags !

In Mother Russia, Lego step on you.

  • Throb Gobblin

If you walk around barefoot enough, these are not necessary. Soft skinned losers.

  • Tomate Diseño

Am I the only person who saw this and thought "Jack Hawksmore!"?

  • GeneralDisorder

0:12 Nakefit is the ultimate way of protecting your feet in every single situation... Except for like... any situation where stuff reaches the top of the foot. Like, dropping stuff on your foot, tripping on rocks, briars, tree branches, etc.

Interesting idea but I like the chain mail shoe better.

  • abazigal

    Do they actually work though?

  • Dao

I might make shoes with no soles for assholes in wintertime.

  • GeneralDisorder

I already own a pair of those.

  • Bertw192

You shouldn't be going into public restrooms barefoot anyhow, GW. Did Brittany Spears teach you nothing?

  • Daniele Endicott

I think it can be useful for those who wants to have fun on the beach and don`t be afraid to hurt their feet. But I wander how long can they stay on the feet? Are they safe?

  • Megatron Jenkins

    Great feet of strength!!

  • Jenness

This is neat but if you are one of those sweaty feet people then bet these won't work.

  • Bling Nye

    Rejected Better product names:

    Sole Patch
    Pedo Skinz
    Foot Bottoms
    EZ Steppers
    Sole Savers

They should get the Pope to endorse/bless these as call them "protection for your sole."

  • GeneralDisorder

You market Foot Bottoms and I'll buy it. No. I won't, actually. I'm poor.

  • The_Wretched

    You had me at Rejected

  • TheQiwiMan

    Fun idea. Stupid name.

Wow. I was unprepared for seeing so much ass in that kickstarter video.

That.. that was more than a little ass.

  • Quax

The worst thing about it, it's always the same ass! :<

  • Shaun9lives

    Yeah, he must work out.
