Man Almost Hit With Flying Refrigerator Door After Shooting Fridge Filled With Explosives

June 8, 2017

This is a video of a good ol' boy shooting a refrigerator full of Tannerite (a name brand of exploding target compound), and nearly getting killed by the flying fridge door, which comes right at him. At first I thought it was fake, but even famous Youtube video debunker Captain Disillusion believes it's real, so I guess I'm gonna have to trust him. Or maybe I'll just have to try to replicate the experiment and see if I get hit with the door. Or the crisper drawer or a gallon of chocolate milk. I love chocolate milk so much. My doctor did blood work the last time I went for a check up and he said he was worried because my blood is a quarter chocolate milk, and I assured him I would do everything in my power to make it a solid half before my next visit.

Keep going for the video, slow motion versions at the end.

Thanks to Damien, who's convinced this was test footage from the opening of Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull.

How does a flat, light, door travel flat like that without air pressure changing it's course? Add to that the speed it travelled against the damage to trees and the gap it passed through next to the animated shooter

Also, be consistent with frame rates. The best editing software can't deal with inconsistent humans

    Damn, almost...

  • craig37f .

Proof that every 'door crushing man' scene in the movies are right.

  • OG

    Tannerite doesn't make a fireball...

  • zethreal

I have a couple friends that use tannerite for explosions. They typically put a small bottle ( a 16oz water bottle ) of gasoline behind it for fire.

  • Matt

would be so much better if it hit him in THE FACE!

  • JJtoob

And then you'd be watching this on liveleak

  • WhiteEagle2

Whats scary about that explosive is if it can fly a heavy fridge door 50+ feet away, think about what it could do to small shrapnel

  • Bling Nye

Remember the guy that lost his leg from shooting a lawnmower full of Tannerite? There are a surprising number of videos of people nearly getting killed by shooting at things filled with Tannerite. Or not surprising...?

  • Ollie Williams

How everyone from the south haven't killed themselves by now, I'll never know.

  • Deplorable Erik Dee

They've already had several kids before they start shooting at shit filled with Tannerite.

  • Bling Nye

There should be firearms licensing just like drivers licencing, and stupid shit like this should get your license revoked. Fucking morons shouldn't be around guns.

So I just actually watched it with audio, and decided to transcribe the audio...

    [Gunshot, Explosion]

    "Hoooly shiit!"

    "Haw haw haw!"

"Hee hee haw hoo hoo hoo! You gotcher safety on?"

    "Howwazat, man?"

    "HEH HEH HEH!"

    "I toldyew, gottabebehindsummin!"

"I gottaput tha yardout, it's on fire..."

    Just.......... wow.

  • FearlessFarris

Yeah, but if we started revoking Constitutional rights every time someone did something stupid with them, we'd have a lot fewer members of the media.

  • Bling Nye

How is required licencing equated with revoking Constitutional rights? Care to explain? How is licencing any different from a convicted felon's loss of the right to keep and bear arms?

  • FearlessFarris

Is there anything else in the Bill of Rights which requires a license? Please explain.

  • Bling Nye

Guys like shown in the video are dangers to themselves and others. For example, I know of a young girl that was killed by a dumbshit bump firing an Ak-47 from the hip; unsurprisingly, the barrel climbed up and sent bullets over the berm. One of those killed the girl in her own backyard. She took minutes to die, and did so in her father's arms.

Don't get me wrong, I like guns, I grew up with them, and I have nothing against RESPONSIBLE people having them. But I fully expect there to be fucking SOME kind of requirements to get and keep them, and to just blithely dither on about Constitutional rights is fucking ignorant and short-sighted, no offense.... It's insanely irresponsible to let people have them that shouldn't. By all means, RESPONSIBLE people can have all the fucking guns their genitalia desires. We don't let felons have guns do we? How is that different from licencing?

  • FearlessFarris

Felons forfeit other rights (like voting), which can also be judicially restored post-release. I don't want to get into a debate about whether it's right or wrong to deny felons, who have served their time, Of their rights as citizens. Even if we stipulate for the sake of argument that it's OK, you can at least say that the felons did some affirmative voluntary act to justify loss of freedoms. This is different from unilaterally stripping freedoms from every single otherwise-law-abiding citizen.

  • Bling Nye

No freedoms are stripped at all until you fail the licencing requirements, and if you fail the licencing requirements, that's arguably the same as an act that justifies the loss of that freedom. If you're "law-abiding" you're going to pass the test, right?
