There Can Be Only One: Cat Vs Plastic Takeout Bag

May 9, 2017

This is a short video of Buddy the cat doing battle with a plastic Hot Wings Cafe takeout bag after his owner gently encourages him to 'get in the bag'. Now granted I'm not that familiar with the officially sanctioned scoring guidelines of cat versus bag fights, but I'm pretty sure Buddy lost by a landslide. SAD FACT: My uncle was also lost in a landslide. Although technically it was an avalanche. Unfortunately for his friends and family, there was no evidence whether or not he was successful in crossing 'Bang the Abominable Snowman' off his bucket list. We just want closure.

Keep going for the whole video.

Thanks to lizzy, who agrees Maru could have kicked that bag's ass, easy.

Many years ago, when I was a wee lad, the family cat disappeared for three days. He turned up wrapped in a blue plastic bag like this. It was not fun for any of us.

My cat did this one night after we went to sleep, and the next morning we found him huddled in a corner, with a broken toe, scared outta his mind. Poor kitty.

This whole video is disturbing to watch because I have experienced it with my cat in the past.
It absolutely terrifies the cat to have the plastic bag wrapped around its neck and "chasing" them.
They end up going berserk trying to get away and end up hurting themselves and causing untold stress to their bodies

And then to imagine there are people who do not like cats, or the better assumption, cats that don't like certain people.

It would have been better had he just put down the phone.

It wouldn't be quite as funny.

My ex's cat did this when she was a kitten. I don't even know where she found the bag but we were in bed and heard this loud meowing hissing so I jump out of bed and see a cat tearing ass down the hallway from the living room with a plastic bag cape. She even ran under the bed and bonked her face on the bed frame as she was ducking under it.

That same cat also once jumped directly into the toilet as I was standing up to wipe. She didn't learn anything from that because she still sometimes lands in the trash can if the lid isn't on.

"standing up to wipe" <----that visual will haunt me forever

    You're welcome.
