So Tiny: The World's Smallest Rubik's Cube

May 10, 2017

After previously building the world's largest Rubik's cube, puzzle maker Tony Fisher has turned around and built the world's smallest Rubik's cube, measuring a scant 5.6mm square, or roughly the length of your ex-boyfriend's penis. His brain was not much larger. This particular nano-cube has to be solved with a pair of tweezers, or a highly trained gerbil. Impressive, Tony, unfortunately *carefully extending index finger for examination* I already constructed an even smaller Rubik's cube. "That's a booger." Admit it's the smallest Rubik's Cube or I'll wipe it on your arm.

Hit the jump for a video of the teensy cube.

Thanks to CH, who agrees it's only a matter of time until some scientists come along and build a Rubik's cube out of nano-particles using a scanning electron microscope.

How long until these are mass produced? And... how long after that until there are speed contests for the world's tiniest (mass produced) rubik's cube?

Oh... and then robotic versions of the same contest.
