Man Adds Drum Solo To The 'I Said Good Day, Sir!' Scene From Willie Wonka And The Chocolate Factory

April 13, 2017

This is a video of percussionist David Dockery adding a beautifully arranged drum solo in sync with the 'I Said Good Day, Sir!" scene from the end of Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. It's actually pretty amazing. You just had to steal the Fizzy Lifting Drinks, didn't you?! Man, I could really go for a Fizzy Lifting Drink right now. With extra tequila. Oh -- and hold the fizzy and the lifting. "So just tequila." Congratulations, I can tell your bartending school tuition was not paid in vain.

Keep going for the video of the scene with drum solo, the drum solo sans movie, and the movie scene alone. Oh, and a BONUS solo added to Charlie's Pepe Silvia rant from Always Sunny In Philadelphia. That one is also worth a watch.

Thanks to Dave L, who can't wait for him to do an Ian Malcom scene from Jurassic Park.

Takeaway: there was nothing special about Birdman, you can just lay a drum track under anything and it seems extremely tense and oddly artsy.

This was freaking awful. The "pro" comments must be from bots.

  • GeneralDisorder

This reminds me of that one episode of Malcolm in the Middle where Francis's employers have their nephew staying at the ranch and he plays piano music to accompany everything Francis does.

  • TheQiwiMan

This is amazing. I don't know why I love this so much, but I love this. So much.

  • Big Dog on Krampus

i love this. i want to see much more of this.

  • Jason Christopher

That was so much cooler than I was expecting it to be.
