Child's Tricycle Modded With A Chainsaw Motor

April 19, 2017

This is a video of Youtuber and Georgia Tech student ThisDustIn and his friends modding a children's tricycle with a gas-powered chainsaw engine so you can cruise without pedaling. And, I think I speak for everyone here who's ever cancelled their membership to a spin studio only a quarter through their first class when I say, pedaling is hard work. If I wanted to exercise my legs so bad, I would have joined a spin studio. "But you did." And I regret it with all my heart. Thank God it was next to a Ben & Jerry's so I could apologize to my legs over a gallon of mint chocolate chunk. "Who the hell eats a gallon of ice cream at Ben & Jerry's?" A man with a lot of explaining to do.

Keep going for the video.

Thanks to Dr Zanz, who wants to know if this thing's power output is measured in horses or lumberjacks.

Colin Furze would of put a sports bike engine on that thing.

  • GeneralDisorder

Colin did build a drift trike. It was a wee bit larger.

Personally, I've always wondered how cool it would be to have something like a 65cc saw engine on the back of a bicycle. Or... better yet a 125cc engine. Of course now you can buy a production 125cc bicycle (as long as you call the Motoped a production bicycle).

This is fantastic. I want one!
