After gathering the required number of supporters (10,000) on LEGO's Ideas website and passing the company's evaluation, LEGO has officially announced an upcoming 'Women Of NASA' set. The final design has yet to be decided, but will include minifigs of Margaret Hamilton (designed on-board flight software for the Apollo moon missions), Katherine Johnson (mathematician and physicist with incredible accuracy in computerized celestial navigation, whose story is told in Hidden Figures), Sally Ride (first American woman in space), Nancy Grace Roman (astronomer, one of the first female executives at NASA, helped plan Hubble Space telescope) and Mae Jemison (first African-American woman in space). Beautiful, I hope they come with a diorama of the moon so they can all sit back and appreciate their accomplishments from the lunar surface. Thank you, ladies, for daring to dream the dream of space.

Keep going for a couple shots of the originally proposed sets.

Thanks to Stephanie B, ash and n0nentity, who agree if these women were in charge we'd probably already have a base on the moon.
