Japanese Chef Carves Single Radish Into Interlocked Chain

February 7, 2017

This is a video of a Japanese chef demonstrating how to carve a single radish into a completely interlocked chain. It was actually pretty relaxing to watch. Like watching somebody do something you never want to do yourself, but wanted to see anyways. Still, when your shrimp tempura and ramen came out cold maybe you'll think twice before ordering the radish chain garnish next time.

Hit the jump for the video while I throw carrot sticks over the wall of my cubicle.

Thanks to Badass Brian, who's so badass he sends tips about food garnishes.

seems like a waste of raddish, if I'm gonna eat that I want the pile of shavings on the side.

Ed boy! The waste from this peel could feed an entire village for a week!

This is why eating out is so expensive..spending $20 worth of work on a 1cent radish.

I've never seen a radish like that, that's awesome. (I mean even before it's cut up into a chain, which is even more awesome)

  • Apparently, it's a daikon.
Personally, I think that guy has too much time on his hands.

  • One of my Uncles does that with wood. I know you're super impressed by me. :)
