That's Not Good: A Timelapse Of Smog In Beijing

January 6, 2017

This is a short timelapse of the smog in Beijing rolling in and blanketing the city during the morning hours. I didn't think the end was really going to be that bad (the pic above isn't the end), but I was wrong, it was awful. It looks like what I imagine a nuclear dust storm would be like. The smog is so thick it looks like you could taste it, but that's a free sample I would definitely pass on. Pigs in a blanket? I keep a variety of disguises in my car just in case they're free-sampling those bad boys.

Keep going for the depressing video.

So, I've been to Shanghai. My dad has an apartment there on the 26th floor (something like that) where he stays for business trips which is luckily where i got to stay. On the window sill is just nothing but black "gunk' due to the pollution that your seeing there... shit is no joke.

Why does it roll in like that? Traffic?

And that's why we need the Clean Air Act in the US. The admin to be wants to gut it so we can compete with China for the number dead on 'hard air' days. That vid is exactly what 'deregulation' looks like.
