Coooool!: Physics Teacher Demonstrates String-Shooters

December 14, 2016

This is a video of science teacher Bruce Yeany demonstrating and discussing string-shooters, little motor-driven wheels that keep a loop of string suspended in the air thanks to inertia. That looks like fun, I kinda want to build one myself. Will I wind up getting my neck caught in the loop and accidentally strangling myself to death while my parents are at work? *shakes magic 8-Ball so hard the fortune telling cube comes out and I choke on it and die* Ghost Me: Well I guess that answers that.

Keep going for the informative video.

Thanks to Mr Tesla, who can shoot electricity out of his fingertips and makes a great neighbor in the event of a power outage.

  • :)

  • I loved the dnb toward the end, and the thumbnail, the video not really. Just a common man is aware of huge string-diagram dongs. I feel sorry for the protected option.

  • Meh

I liked the dnb at the end, and the thumbnail, the video not so much.

Are you also 'essay writing websites reviews' or are you two just crazy similar?

  • Meh

    Sorry to disappoint.

Oh man this is my birthday all over again...

  • TheQiwiMan

    Pretty cool, yo.

  • GeneralDisorder

I had an air powered string shooter once. You had to blow into a straw and then the string would do this sort of thing and you'd get dizzy and leave your parents alone when you pass out.

On a related note, I've got to find me some of those for my kids.

  • Big Dog on Krampus

all i see are big, bulbous dongs

  • TheQiwiMan

Everything looks like a dong if you try hard enough.

  • You need to get out more often.

  • Big Dog on Krampus

only a worldly man knows of big string-outline dongs. i pity the sheltered alternative.

  • Andrew Williams

I was expecting a specific law/property of physics to be "demostrated", but this is simply a four minute video of a guy showing off a neat toy he built.

I'm going to go with Inertia and Gravity for $400, Alex.
