Great Job: Irish Weather Forecast Prank

November 4, 2016

This is a video from Irish TV channel TG4 of a prank perpetrated on Halloween. SPOILER: Basically the weatherlady is giving the forecast when all of a sudden the screen behind her goes black and she gets struck by lightning and explodes. Then there's a 'PLEASE STAND BY' message. Man, that's way better than any of the weather forecasters around here, they don't do anything but make shitty predictions. Yesterday the weatherman said there wouldn't be a cloud in the sky today. I haven't been able to see the sun yet. I thought this relationship was supposed to be built on trust. Also, on getting school cancelled for snow on the days I haven't done my homework.

Keep going for the video.

Thanks to King D, who better make me a knight, I deserve it. "Settle for food taster?" Deal.

ebonics... thats the accent i have the hardest time understanding

  • Deksam

    Ha funny!
Their language seriously sounds like english played in reverse.

  • Ollie Williams

Gaelic seriously sounds like they simply took the normal audio and reversed it.

At work I talk to a wide variety of people from a lot of different countries. The English accents I understand the least are:

    Deep South US

I almost never have problems understanding callers from Asian and Pacific island nations. But France, North Africa, Ireland/Scotland and rural South-Eastern US are really difficult for me.

  • HP Flashman

That's not accented English. It's Gaelic.

  • Jenness

That was better than I thought it would be. Nice job Ireland!
