Disney's Eerily Lifelike Animatronic Avatar Character For New Na'vi River Journey Ride

November 22, 2016

This is a super short video introduction to the Na'vi shaman star of Disney's Na'vi River Journey ride coming to the new Pandora section of Disney's Animal Kingdom in Florida. The new section and ride open this summer, just eight years after the movie came out. Avatar 2 is coming out in 2018 though, so that's exciting. I mean, provided you liked the first movie and the world doesn't end before then. Who knows, maybe some aliens will come to our planet to steal all our natural resources and wage war on humanity. "Just like what the humans were doing in Avatar!" That's very astute of you. Yes, just like that. But hopefully they just crack earth open like a walnut with a powerful space laser so we don't even stand a chance. Take all our lava, we don't deserve it anyways.

Keep going for the video.

Thanks to Dunc, who has every intention of jumping out of the ride and living in Pandora forever.

Avatar?! What a terrible idea. Whats next? Are they going to misappropriate Norwegian culture by replacing the Norway section in Epcot with a Frozen ride???

  • Meh

Disney and creepy, there's something new.

  • Richard H Sanford

    That is creepy AF.

  • TheQiwiMan

There is no way someone in the production line of creating this didn't secretly act out some deviant sexual behavior at one point.

(I think this statement says more about me than anyone else)

  • Jenness

    Yes and Yes.

Seriously though, some tourist will try and make-out with this thing w/in the first 6 months.

  • TheQiwiMan

Let's hope it stays that tame..

  • Jenness

But...but what if it's being controlled by some paraplegic in a tube somewhere and this is it's only way of interacting in meaningful ways??

  • Jenness

HA!!! That just made my night lololol
