A Shot Of The International Space Station Passing In Front Of The Supermoon

November 15, 2016

This is a carefully timed composite shot captured by photographer Kris Smith of the International Space Station transiting the supermoon on October 16th (not to be confused with last night's supermoon, which was the largest of this year). I know I said it just the other day, but it's still hard for me to believe we actually have a football field sized space station up there. That's got to be one of the most amazing things humanity has ever accomplished. And *starts marking on whiteboard* according to my most recent calculations, quite possibly one of the last. "You drew a penis." Tell me I'm wrong.

Thanks to Tank, who I would 100% accept a ride to prom in.

Looks like a patrol of TIE fighters.

We have a $587 billion deficit, but we can afford 8 space stations?!?!?

  • You saw gravity.... we need 7 backup space stations!

  • The_Wretched

It's a TIE fighter squadron; much more expensive than the space station.
