LEGO Minifig Hair Bicycle Helmet

October 4, 2016

This is the LEGO minifig hair inspired bicycle helmet created by European creative agency DDB to get kids "excited about bicycle safety." I'm going to be honest, getting excited about any kind of safety is an uphill battle. Safety is inherently not exciting. Danger -- danger is where the thrills are at. My mom could buy me the coolest astronaut bike helmet and I'd still hide it in the garage before a bike ride. Hey you -- light my sweatshirt on fire and film me while I bomb this hill.

Keep going for a video of the helmet's creation.

Thanks to Pesche, who takes bicycle safety so seriously he installed a seatbelt. *bring bring* That was me ringing my bell.

These haters are hating, but I am a lover loving! I will be 40 this year, I am a Mom of 4, and I would wear this every single day! I love this idea! Gotta do some girly hair, too, and maybe a helmet with a spot for long hair pony tails to come out the way they can from a ballcap. ;) I should join this design team.

Ripped off from Flight of the Conchords

I can't believe they don't show a single person wearing it.

  • Georgia

"How can we make a helmet kids will actually want to wear?"
There's no evidence that they HAVE. They couldn't find a single person to try on the damn helmet for the commercial? Weak.

  • By all means DON'T show ant actual children wearing it. They should really make it in adult sizes anyway, because I see mainly hipsters wearing it.

  • The_Wretched

    How does that printer work?

  • NervJMSL

Ok, how exactly did they think that making this would be a good idea? Second, why does everyone think that Playmobil is Lego? They are nothing alike. And finally how many people does it take to build something like this?, feels more like an overcomplicated way of saying we hired a sculptor to make a model and we're mass producing it.

  • Meh

For one; it look like a turd, secondly; the color matches a turd.

Ergo for all those times you want to humiliate your figures while rescuing whoever - now real life. Also what a waste of manpower. They could've just contact Lego instead, getting a 3 model, just print that.

My first thought went directly to "Chocolate lego hair". GTR, I'm hungry.
