This is the world's largest elevator, built at the Three Gorges Dam on the Yangtze River in central China. The elevator replaces a series of five locks that were previously used to move boats up and down the waterway, and took over three hours. The elevator can do the job in just 40 minutes, and can raise or lower a load up to 6.7-million pounds, or 3,350 tons. No word if that's enough lifting power to support somebody's mother in a yo momma joke, but I doubt it.
