Manhole Cover Dances During Rainstorm

August 5, 2016

This is a video of a manhole cover dancing during a rainstorm in Phoenix, Arizona. Why is it dancing? Because it's Friday, and if Rebecca Black has taught us anything, it's you gotta get down on Friday. Have fun with that one in your head, jerk! Just kidding, you're not a jerk and it's dancing because all the recent rain is rushing through the storm sewer and increasing the air pressure inside to the point it can actually lift a manhole cover. Have you ever tried to lift a manhole cover before? They're not light, but I was determined to finally meet the Ninja Turtles.

Hit the jump for the video.

Thanks to Dev, who once saw a stop sign dancing with a telephone pole because they were both drunk.

Hey GW... As a loyal long time fan... Both the posted versions are stolen and blah blah blah... You know the rest. Anyhow... Here's the OG Version, GW. :/

    Sincerely, Jess

If i had to guess, then I'd go with air pressure rising to ridiculous numbers with a sewer system totally incapable of handling it. Its like the presidency.

It's long been known that Canadians will do almost anything to gain just the briefest moment of recognition from their American heroes, but taking credit for a Phoenix manhole cover is sinking to a new low.

I do believe it could be referencing the fact that the manhole's dance it self was what cause the recent rain storm which lightning showered down and ripping a roof off an apartment complex.
