I'm Flying, Jack: Strong Winds Lift Amateur Kite Pilot

August 9, 2016

This is a short video from Cromarty, Scotland of a very amateur kite pilot deciding he can control a kite in extremely heavy winds. He cannot, and gets picked up and dragged around like the ragdoll that he is. It's just a shame there's wasn't a cliff nearby to really ramp up the excitement. Jane and Michael Banks laugh at you! That was a Mary Poppins reference FYI. You know -- 'Let's go fly a kite, up where the air is tight.' I love that song. "It's 'Up to the highest height'." Whatever, my point is I'd give anything to hang out with Mary Poppins and Bert for an afternoon. You could tell me Death was going to come for me at the end of the day and I'd still have the best time of my life plus decapitate Death with his own sickle when he did show up. *holding Death's skull up for a kiss* Oh I'm sorry, you didn't know? You see Mary taught me things, Death, she's a witch.

Keep going for the video.

Thanks to Suz, who agrees he should have ridden that kite to Oz or whatever the Scottish equivalent is.

Truly, I don't want to make the comment... But like Michael Scott and "that's what she said" it's only a matter of time.

In Soviet Russia, kite flies you.

There, now it's out of my mind, and I take the eye rolling target off someone else. You're welcome.

  • Great Vid!
    Great Stunt!

That's what a grown man gets for flying a kite.
