This is a small burger with a halved avocado for a bun. It is the brainchild of Amsterdam-based "food stylist and photographer" Colette Dike, and looks like Yoshi could hatch out of it at any moment. Dike recommends eating the burger with a knife and fork though, since it's more of a stacked salad than a traditional burger. Wait -- what's a stacked salad? Is that like a salad tower? Should I be embarrassed I don't know? Sounds pretty froufrou to me. I've never paid more than $5.95 for a salad in my life, and that's dinner menu pricing. Call me old fashioned, but I prefer my salads how I prefer my butt-- "Tossed?" What? No, I was going to say full of English cucumbers.
Thanks to Alexander, who agrees buns were made to be squished so you can fit as much in your mouth at once and eat like a wild animal with hands.
