Strike: Bowling Ball Dropped From 150-Feet Onto Axe Blade

August 15, 2016

This is a video of a group of Australians dropping bowling balls from a 45-meter (~148-foot) tower onto an axe blade. Although there's much more footage of bowling balls being dropped from a 45-meter tower onto the ground NEAR an axe blade. I learned a lot by watching it. Mostly, that if you're ever a bowling ball being dropped from a 45-meter tower, you're going to want to do your best to avoid any axe blades at the bottom.

Hit the jump for the video.

Thanks to Brett S, who agrees if you have to be a sports ball, pray you're a Golden Snitch.

The slow-mo shots are pretty enjoyable

The ball looks like a piece of candy; now I want candy.

  • GeneralDisorder

I bet you could make a bowling ball out of candy pretty successfully.

This is highly frustrating. The axe is haphazardly place in the sand, they do no measure from where they launch the bowling balls to reproduce the effect. It's launched by hand so they missed so many shots.

And in hindsight their lack of protection at the receiving end didn't even teach any lessons either. Frustrating in a every aspects.

... the douchey nature of the individuals didn't help either.

If you can't handle these guys and their douchiness don't ever watch Dude Perfect.

  • Someone's hard to impress.
