Mattel Releasing Original Star Trek Series Barbie Dolls

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Star Trek franchise, Mattel is releasing three dolls from the Original Series. The $35 dolls come in Captain Kirk, Spock and Uhuru varieties and are available for pre-order now. Unfortunately, I don't think there's going to be a USS Enterprise bridge playset to go along with them. That's a shame too, because I'm not sure how these three are going to feel hanging out in my little sister's Barbie Dreamhouse. "This place sucks, I want to go back to space." I'm sorry Kirk, I'm doing the best I can. "Wait -- is that a pink Corvette?" It sure is. "Uhuru, hop in. Spock, make us some sandwiches while we're out." Wait, what? "No crust, captain's orders." Now Kirk -- you be nice to Spock or I'm putting you back in your box. "Oh really? Says who?" Holy shit he's got G.I. Joe's gun!

Keep going for shots of each.

Thanks to Stephanie B, who's pissed none of them come with Tribbles. Right? You goofed, Mattel.

  • The Magnificent Newtboy

That does actually look like Uhura. Kirk and Spock... less so...

  • comedy of terrors

    Uhura. Not uhuru.

  • TheDR

No sir, I did not see you playing with your dolls again!

  • chueythemidget

Can I play dolls with you? - Chuey remember me.

  • Henery Henkles

Those set an unreasonable standard for male handsomeness.
