I Am Into This: Man Builds Hidden Beer Fridge In Garden

May 13, 2016

This is a short video demonstration of the hidden underground beer fridge built by Peter Götting from Germany. With the push of a lever on the side of the house, the beer fridge rises to display its contents. With another push of the lever it descends back into the earth. Now I'm not sure if the unit is actually refrigerated, or of the earth is supposed to keep the beers cool enough, but it is electrically powered so it certainly could be refrigerated. It's just a shame it's not a secret anymore and I just looked up Peter's address and booked a flight to Germany.

Keep going for the video, then come over and help me build one this weekend.

Thanks to Kramer, who digs holes and stashes his beer like a squirrel does acorns.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is one high-functioning alcoholic.

  • Xockszky

Oooh! Someone's wife won't let him drink!

  • Andyman7714

Awesome! Although...I would have hid the lever a little better.

  • The_Wretched

He should get together with the slingshot guy and weaponize this technology.

I could've sworn i had seen this before, about 5 years back.

You might be thinking of the one the guy did that was raised and lowered by a hand crank. I think that was more recent that 5 years ago though.
