News Reporters' Amazing Commentary During Car Chase

April 8, 2016

Yesterday there was an hour long car chase in Los Angeles after two guys stole a Ford Mustang, and this is a video of the Phoenix-based Fox 10 News anchors providing what can only be described as the opposite of expert commentary during the chase. I loved every second of it.

Here are just a few things that are discussed during the chase:

How to determine if a car is a BMW
How to correctly retract a convertible top
If a cop will allow citizens to perform PIT maneuvers for fun
Stopping a car chase yourself like a boss
Bernie Sanders
Upstaging the LAPD using nothing but the contents of your handbag
How to deal with your live feed switching to American Idol for no reason

Honestly, I have never learned so much about life in five minutes than I did listening to these two women. They're wasting their talent on the news, they should have their own talk show. I would watch it religiously every afternoon even if that means I have to DVR Ellen to watch later. That's how serious I am.

Keep going for the video, it's a real gem.

Thanks to Barnaby, who wants to be part of that news team. Same here, maybe we can do the weather together good cop/bad cop style.

So... a commercial for Mustangs. After about the fifth time they said "Ford Mustang" and talked about how nice the car was, it cut to an unrelated press briefing or something that showed fox sponsored by Ford. Nice one.

  • Daniel L Charlebois

You can't expect anything more from Fox news, what an oxymoron.

  • John Samuel αΩ

This is a local news affiliate, not the same fox news that is making your parents retarded.

  • Meh

    Terrible commentary. Absolutely worthless.

  • Jenness

LA is like another planet. On one hand it's hilarious - but on another it's really really depressing, especially at the end when these guys, who just wasted so much money and resources that could have went to stopping terror, saving lives, preventing murders - had people around them who actually wanted to take their picture and what seemed like defend them.

But when someone's house goes on fire, or someone is trying to break into their home - then it's another story. How are people such absolute complete and total hypocrites is beyond me. At least the newscaster said they would never stop calling these out as being terrible behavior and awful even though psychos would call them heroes for putting everyone else at risk.

  • GeneralDisorder

So obviously these commentators have read the News Media Gun guide (google it). Is there also a News Media Car Guide?

And that "stop stick" at the end... that's what you call a firearm. It's got a very clear butt-stock.

  • Norton Commando

"Does this make him a hero?"

To all his "people" it does, unfortunately, and we have to live with this.

  • Madgame

    Insert Professor Farnsworth quote here.

  • Rick Fitz

Unbelievable. Urban primitivism on full display.

  • GeneralDisorder

Nice. Classism and racism in the same sentence. A work of art if I do say so.

  • Munihausen

    I have a dream...

  • JJtoob

... but now that dream is gone from me. -Morpheus
