Clever: Cat Scratchers That Look Like Famous Paintings

April 15, 2016

This is the Mona Lisa Copycat Art Scratcher designed by Erik Stehmann and Leonardo da Vinci. You might remember Erik from his previous line of cat scratching posts that look like dogs. You've probably never heard of Leonardo da Vinci. Did he invent pizza? Copycat Art Scratchers are printed on sisal fabric, and are also available as two different paintings -- Vermeer's 'Girl With a Pearl Earring' and de Heem's 'Still Life with Flowers'. Unfortunately, they cost around $190 apiece, which means my cat will never have the pleasure of scratching one. Meow. Go play in the box I just gave you. Meow. Are you hungry? I already gave you a bowl of Cheerios and you haven't touched them. Hissssss! Holy shit you're a demon I'm locking myself in the bathroom. Have I told you my cat has learned how to use door knobs? There is nothing scarier than seeing the bedroom doorknob turn at night, especially when I think he's already in the room.

Keep going for several more shots, including the other two paintings while I take bets on how long it takes those two cats to knock that vase off the table.

Thanks to Lucinda, who lets her cats scratch whatever they want because they're going to anyways.
