Awwww: 4-Month Old Born Near-Blind Sees Mom For First Time With Help Of Special Infant Glasses

April 12, 2016

This is a short video of 4-month old Leopold Wilbur Reppond seeing his mom for the first time thanks to special infant glasses made by Miraflex. Leopold was born with oculocutaneous albinism, which severely impairs his vision, and he relied on touch and sound to identify his mother and father before the glasses. Now he can see them! Plus he looks like a Minion. Win/win/win! "Wait, what was the third win for?" Oh -- I guess that one was for me sucking at math word problems.

Keep going for feel-good video.

Thanks to Liliana C, who saw me for the first time and then took her glasses off so she wouldn't have to again.

    Baby Bubbles.

Just FYI, those are Miraflex glasses. My daughter has had some since she was 15 months old when we found out she was born with a cataract in one eye. They make adult glasses as well! You can go to their website and find out which eye doctors in your area carry them. (Can you tell I'm a fan?)

20 bucks says he can't see shit but was grinning because he just pooped his diapers

  • GeneralDisorder

That wasn't a poop grin. I think it was more of an imitating grin.

Feel like making a funny, but with these kind of stories I just can't. This is good stuff.
