Upcycling: A Do It Yourself Action Figure Lamp

March 14, 2016

This is the lamp made by Imgurian downtwobane out of action figures and a cheap lamp bought at the thrift store. Total cost of the project was $15. I'm not sure anybody really needs instructions for how to superglue action figures to a lamp and then spray paint it all, but if you do just reread this sentence. Even my good pal/mortal enemy Terry made a lamp with a Godzilla action figure he spray painted silver and it turned out great and he shouldn't even be allowed to use glue or spray paint. Or plug things into the wall. Yet here we are.

Keep going for several more shots of the process and finished product.

Thanks to DEFCON 1, who prefers red flashing lights and a warning siren.

I'd rather just have the toys.

  • Here's something I never knew I needed. I just got approved for my new apartment today too, it's obviously a sign.

    This is surprisingly awesome.
Might have to make myself a Bioshock/Rapture lamp.
