Man Walks 20-Miles In Snow To Create Giant Game Of Thrones Stark House Sigil

March 9, 2016

This is a video of snow artist Simon Beck and the giant Stark house sigil he created to promote the upcoming season of Game Of Thrones. Simon spent 13 hours walking some twenty miles to create the piece, which took about 64,800 steps. Personally, I would have made something much smaller. I'm thinking postcard sized. If you look closely you can see Simon standing at the rear of the direwolf's eye. If you look even closer you can see a Yeti cooking a mountain rabbit in the background. If you have laser vision you can read where I peed 'GW WAS HER' in the snow. I would have come back to add the last E but it was cold out and I was dehydrated so it is what it is.

Hit the jump for the video.

Thanks to SmokeChief, who sent his tip by smoke signal, which took me several days to decipher. I'm not even sure if I did it right. Honestly, it could have been a personals ad.

  • Dozer

    that's aliens. : )

  • Meh

All that effort for a shitty show. What a letdown.

  • Oh is that your thing? I'm guessing from your username you might feel the same about a lot of things. Should we expect to hear that other things are average at best in the future? I'm all for it, actually. I like recurring characters.

I like the irony in his avatar... "Kickass" ... lolz

  • Bling Nye

I've done that before, with my urine.

  • I only managed to write my name.

  • Bling Nye

The trick is to have a lot of urine.

  • TheQiwiMan

Weird, I only ever write your name in urine too. We're twins!

  • Deksam

I once put my name in the snow using lots of rocks, up in the mountains for a picture I was going to take. It took some time to do. But as I went up high to take a picture of it, 2 hikers that were passing by saw it, The guy said "Who would do something like that?" The woman said "Troy would." She was right.
