These are a couple pictures and the police dashcam footage of a drunk woman who tried to drive her car home after hitting a 15-foot tree and getting it stuck in her car's grill. Apparently the airbags deployed after hitting the tree and everything and she still decided to try to drive home. Don't drink and drive, folks.
The woman was pulled over around 11:10 p.m. Jan. 23 on Central Avenue after police received a call about a vehicle driving with a tree embedded in the grille, according to Roselle Deputy Chief Roman Tarchala. The driver was charged with DUI after failing a field sobriety test.
The woman told police that she struck the tree somewhere in Schaumburg, Tarchala said.
"I've been in law enforcement for 28 years and I've never seen anything like it," Tarchala added.
You think the whole time the tree was stuck there she was worried she was headed straight for a tree? Drunk drivers are terrifying. Order an Uber or a Lyft or some other ride-sharing service. Or, if you're over 75 and apps scare you, call a cab. Just don't drink and drive. Do it for me, I walk everywhere and sidewalks are terrifying after seeing shit like this.
Keep going for one more shot of the whole tree and the arresting officer's dashcam footage.
Thanks to my buddy Luke, who had a breathalyzer installed on his jetpack so he can't take off if he's had one too many in the beer garden.
