Caw Caw: Live Cam Of Bald Eagle Nest In Washington D.C.

March 22, 2016

This IS THE LINK to a live bald eagle nest cam set up in a Tulip Poplar tree in Washington D.C., where two bald eagles (affectionately known as 'Mr. President' and 'The First Lady') are currently raising one hatchling, with another egg hatching very soon. Oh shit -- here comes some circle of life style real talk!

This is a wild eagle nest and anything can happen. While we hope that two healthy juvenile eagles will end up fledging from the nest this summer, things like sibling rivalry, predators, and natural disaster can affect this eagle family and may be difficult to watch.

You have been warned. Admittedly, that looks like a pretty nice nest. I'm not saying I want to live in it, but I did say I was getting evicted in my last post, so I AM going to need a place to stay. *ahem* I said I'm going to need a place to stay. You've got a couch, right? "Nope." I saw it in a picture you just posted on Facebook. "That couch burned in a fire." No, but that couch might burn in a future fire if I can't sleep on it for a few days. See where I'm going with this? "Define a few days." Two months, tops.

Thanks to my buddy Brian A, who lives in D.C. and told me he'd go squat in the nest for me once the birds move out because he is a decent pal. UNLIKE SOME PEOPLE.
