Augmented Reality To Make Sport Fencing More Exciting

March 25, 2016

This is a video from the Fencing Visualized Project, a project that uses motion capture and augmented reality to allow spectators a more immersive experience watching fencing. Basically the recent movement of the sabres leave glow-trails and when somebody gets a hit fireworks go off and the force of the strike is shown. Neat idea. You really want to get people excited about fencing though? Remove all the protective gear. Now that people would watch.

Keep going for the video.

Thanks to Stabby McStabface, who just tried to cut me.
