Star Wars Imperial March In A Major Key Sounds Happy

February 29, 2016

This is a video of John Williams' Imperial March played in a major key. It sounds infinitely less sinister than the original. Now I'm not saying I'm going to make it my wedding song, but I'm not saying I'm not going to throw the idea out there to my future wife either. Relationships are a compromise, and as long as our first dance is to the Indiana Jones theme, we'll live happily ever after. If she refuses me that though I'm calling off the engagement and asking for the ring back, which, for the record, is actually a tattoo of a ring.

Keep going for the video, as well as the march in a minor key which is also happy fun times.

Thanks to Stephanie B and n0nentity, who wants to see the Star Wars theme performed in a pitch so high only dogs can hear it and go crazy like right before an earthquake.

So that's what Star Wars would have sounded like if the score was made with a $99 keyboard.

  • Bling Nye

    Try $24.

  • Dave

This is who I picture leading the Imperial March now:

But he sounds like "Jack" from Will and Grace with a lisp instead of breathing.

    Them's some weak-ass arrangements yo.

My daughter always said that portions of the Imp. March sounds like "A Spoonful of Sugar..." from Mary Poppins. Try to get that association out of your head.

"A spoonful of evil helps the murder go down..."

They both sound like Final Fantasy songs now.

As a Nobuo Uematsu fan and learned musician, I disagree. It's probably the midi sounds that remind you of ff.

  • That doesn't belong there. This dude is right.

  • timeiskey

i dont want nobuo to die soon :(

  • Sean Mallia

    Sounds something out of runescape

  • Shawn Bibby

    Haha! Yes they do!!

This is so great. I am wearing a big silly grin right now. (and nothing else)
