This is the official Batman Classic TV Series Batcave LEGO set. It contains 2,526 pieces, costs $270, and will be available this March. It comes complete with the Batcopter, Batmobile, Batcycle, nine minifigs and three kind of disjointed playsets. That's the thing I don't like about some of these big LEGO sets -- a lot of times they're just a handful of smaller set pieces instead of one big-ass model like the Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters. I need continuity in my toys. My imagination isn't as good as it was when I was a kid -- pretending is getting harder. My roommate Derek and I tried playing space rangers before bed last night, and, sadly, I saw the cardboard box we were sitting in as just a cardboard box and not the spaceship it should have been. I cried in the shower for like an hour afterwards. "Sounded like you were masturbating." I WAS CRYING, DEREK, SHUT UP.

Keep going for a ton more pictures, including closeups of all the vehicles and minifigs.

Thanks to matty b and Pegasus, either of whom I would ride into the clouds given the opportunity.

    Who would buy this?

  • *raises hand*

  • TheQiwiMan

Ha, I'll believe it when you show me your receipt! :-P

  • Ollie Williams

I understand there are likely significant licensing fees, but $270 is ridiculous.

Legos have always been expensive. The Monorail set cost $155 back in 1987. That's $324 today if you account for inflation.

  • Batman and lego. <3
