This is a short video from the Great Tide Pool outside the Monterey Bay Aquarium in California. It features a one-day old otter pup sleeping on the belly of its floating mother. It looks like that baby is LIVING THE DREAM. Enjoy it while you can, my little otter friend.

"This baby sea otter was born in the 'Great Tide Pool' at the Monterey Bay Aquarium on 12/20/15," said a zoo employee. "Her mom is a wild, Californian sea otter that sought refuge in the pool to shield her against other animals and the stormy day."

Napping together, so precious. And can you blame that mother for wanting a nap herself? That baby is HUGE. I couldn't imagine laying an egg that big. "They don't lay eggs." Shut up. So how long till this little guy learns how to fly? Man, I love penguins so much.

Keep going for the video, complete with some dude running his mouth the whole time.

Thanks to Hep, who wants to be reincarnated as an otter. Me? I want to reincarnated as a laser beam.
