'More Sky' Windows Expand Out To Give Small Apartments Tiny Indoor Balconies

November 3, 2015

'More Sky' windows were designed by Argentinian architect Aldana Ferrer Garcia to give small apartments more access to the sky by expanding outward. That way you can lean against them and pretend like you're about to fall to your death. I don't think I could deal with that. My apartment is so tiny I only have one window, and that's technically the peephole.

Keep going for several more shots, including a different model that rotates outward.

Thanks to Melissa M, who wants one of those fancy pool balconies. DON'T WE ALL.

I have questions: 1) Pigeons 2) Other birds that poop in the sky 3) Neighbors above you dropping things 4) Dirt / Grime in general coating the outside

  • You've got a tiny apartment so you add a window which takes up space when you fold it up and probably doesn't open.

it reminds me of something you'd see in The Fifth Element

Seems like a accident waiting to happen.. what happens if it can't support the person's weight, or the locking mechanism breaks.. and you're 10 stories up?

Ooh... I know the answer to this. Death! Presumably quick death.

Reminds me of Michael Scott's Plasma Screen TV:

So basically the same as that age old baby cage for people living high up. Except now they tried to make it look decent and its not for babies anymore.
