Dedication: Guy Sets New Super Mario Bros. Speedrun World Record By Six Hundredths Of A Second

November 4, 2015

This is a video of video game speedrunner Darbian setting a new world record for the fastest any % completion (warps and glitches allowed) of Super Mario Bros. He beat the previous record of 4:57:69 by just hundredths of a second, with a time of 4:57:627. I would be pissed if I paid good money for a video game and beat it in five minutes. "He's probably played it a million times to get that fast." You don't know that, this could be his first time playing.

Keep going for the video (which he played on an actual NES), as well as the Twitch embed.

Thanks to Douglas, who beat Super Mario Bros. in an hour and a half because he likes to take his time and enjoy things.

5 minutes to finish a video game, a lifetime to lose virginity. Seems like a fair trade.

  • I guess it's good to have goals, meanwhile I'm still stuck at the quarry.

I like how his face gets increasingly "must poop harder" the closer to the end he gets.
