Tattoo Shop Owning Father Lets 4-Year Old Daughter Give Him A Tattoo (And People Are Upset About It)

Because some people have absolutely nothing better to do than complain about things that have zero impact on their own lives, several people took to Facebook to complain about the picture above, showing tattoo shop owner Brad Bellomo getting tattooed by his 4-year old daughter, Chloe. "Is that a pot leaf and the sun?" IT'S A STRAWBERRY, JACKASS.

A number of commenters have praised the tattoo shop owner for being a cool dad and letting his daughter ink him up, and his posted has been shared more than 13,000 shares.

But not everyone was pleased with Brad's photo. A number of users reported him to Facebook for the post, citing 'graphic violence'.

One person commented 'child abuse' on his picture, and the remark received 18 likes.

However, a number of people blasted that user, saying that Brad was in no way harming his child, and that he was instead teaching her a creative skill.

The dad responded to the user's objections, saying: 'My daughter is the sweetest smartest happiest kid I've ever seen... It saddens me when I see people of an older generation with such closed minds.'

Honestly, if I could move to the moon, I would. I think I would be way happier up there not having to deal with all the people on earth. Plus it would be so quiet and peaceful. Maybe I would do a little lunar gardening. Or maybe I would take up painting. Maybe I would just daydream all day like I'm doing now. "Or masturbate." YES. But to earth exploding.

Thanks to Vicki, who works in a tattoo shop and offered to give a great deal on the ghost pirate ship tattoo of my dreams. I might take you up on that.

    "...people of an older generation..."

    Touché!

  • Débora Cabral de Melo

    People are such dicks.
On another notice, this probably hurt SO MUCH. It's already extra painful to be inked by a not so experienced tattoo artist, imagine a child. Brave dad.

    I don't think that's cool... it's AWESOME!

  • Jenness

Probably only fake trolls got jealous and complained. That tattoo looks 10x better than most of the stuff I see every day. I am not a tattoo person so this is not my thing but it's a skill and artistic job that supports people so how is this different from painting or carpentry?

Am I the only one that thinks that that is cute?I mean if i had a daughter(i am an ink lover since childhood) I would really enjoy having that done. And i think i would be proud as well. Imagine, having your own little angel giving you something so personal for life(or a few years 'till it needs inking again). Them feelz y'all...

  • TheOtakuX

How could it be 'child abuse'? He didn't tattoo HER...
    Also, that's a damn good strawberry for a 4-year-old.

that's awesome though, some people get there kids to draw something on paper then get the ink, but no this guy gave his kid an experience they will share forever.

In reply to other comments below - It made the news, so there are obviously more than just "a few people" upset about it. Facebook isn't the entire population.

My take? If I were a mechanic, would it be considered child abuse to show my 4 year old daughter how to check the oil in a car, and let her try it? If I were a tailor, would it be child abuse to show my daughter how to sew and let her try it?

The problem is that the tattoo industry still is looked down upon by a lot of people. Until the point can get beaten into their brains, that it's an art-form and that it isn't just some dude with a guitar string and a tape deck motor, the stigma will remain.

It's a profession. There is training involved and there are regulations for it.

In time, I hope. In time.

    Cute.

  • Honestly I think thats a pretty cool tattoo.

  • Not just because I'm a tattooist, but that's one of the most fing adorable things I've ever seen in my life. (Plus, now when folks criticize dude's ink, he can berate them for belittling his child! Take THAT, "society"!!!)

Depends. What were your expectations? Whether or not anyone did, is subjective.
