This is the automated car vending machine built by online car retailer Carvana, which I had never heard of until they built a car vending machine. Hey, everybody needs a gimmick. Mine just so happens to be being handsome and funny. Jk jk, mine is basically penises and the mind of a child after two bags of Skittles and a quart of Red Bull.
When the customer decides to make a purchase through Carvana's website, they have the choice of picking up the car, or having it delivered. If the customer decides to pick the car up, the company sends the purchased car from the distribution center (they have one in Atlanta and one in Dallas) to the tower [in Nashville].
Upon arrival at the shiny glass facility, customers will type in their information on a tablet. They'll receive a commemorative three-inch coin that they insert into the machine--to keep with the theme. Robotic platforms retrieve the purchased car, and automated parking technology delivers it to the customer.
Are you thinking what I'm thinking? "Almost never." That's not true! We think the same thing about what we want for lunch all the time. On the count of three say what you want. Ready? One...two... "Tacos or pizza!" KID CUISINE! Okay maybe tomorrow. Anyways, what we both SHOULD have been thinking is how we're gonna shake this thing until it falls over and all the free cars spill out.
Keep gioing for a video of the machine in action.
Thanks to Andyman, who allegedly knows how to get a soda machine to spit all its change out but wouldn't tell me because he knows I would use that information for absolute pure evil.
