You Married A Sith?!: Couple Make Bride And Groom's First Dance A Lightsaber Battle

October 9, 2015

Oooooh, I like that dress.

This is a video of Robert and Rebecca's first dance at their wedding. They perform a very slowly choreographed lightsaber battle. Or maybe it wasn't choreographed, I don't know, they fired me as their wedding planner for suggesting everybody should throw ninja stars instead of rice after the ceremony. Their loss. Robert drops his lightsaber around the 2:77 mark. If I were Rebecca I would have used that opportunity to finish him. Or at least chop one of his arms off. I don't know, maybe true love is a real thing after all.

Keeep going for the video.

  • Jedi Ninja

Not as cool as I thought it was gonna be.

  • Leland_Gaunt

There was more effort put into shooting, compressing, and uploading the damn video than there was put into their "duel". What a waste...

  • ispitzhotfire

If you are going to do something like this to try and go viral at least practice. These guys just wing it. There was so much potential there and they just fell flat.

  • Leland_Gaunt

    Yeah, that truly was pathetic.

  • E\m/ily

Bless them! I hope neither of them ever gets in a real fight

  • Kevin Plaul

    could be so mutch cooler....

  • JmanBankai

that's what you call love when you indulge your husband's hobby ....... before you crush it and force him to grow up

  • Father Time

"... around the 2:77 mark." wtf man

  • shashi

    Save some for the honeymoon

  • Bling Nye

The groom was drunk (or else retarded) and killed himself with his lightsaber at least 2-3 different times.

  • Gob Jacobson

    That is embarrassing...

  • dsmwatch

Did they even fucking practice??!! Jesus.

  • Andyman7714

If this were a real light saber battle, he would have cut off his own legs at around the 1 minute mark. Yes, I made it that far.

  • Leland_Gaunt

I consider you to be strong in the Force purely for having made it that long.... ugh.

  • Andyman7714

Of course, in a real Jedi wedding, he would be a corner....crying.

  • That's the worst video I've ever seen with lightsabers, and I sat through all of Episode 3.

  • PUNX

this was lame, expected to see more of a dance to it then just them two swinging at each other

  • The Mayor

WOW !!! That carried on for 3:36 to long.

Not a sole issue, but the needle on the camel's back, I disavow my nerddom. All enjoyment of star wars movies, star trek television shows, Dr who, dungeons and dragons crawls, etc, etc etc, will be enjoyed in private exclusively. Like peter denying christ, I shall deny 3 times and many times over my current or past enjoyment of Lord of the Rings novels, and will actively persecute those who enjoy the likes of Walking dead or Game of Thrones, to tears or more.

Nerds should have never rose to any sort of sexy or popular prominence and I now believe that my shame and subsequent teasing/bullying is fully justified if it prevents society to have to endure this cringe inducing garbage.

Good luck my nerd friends, but from now on, I will only share solidarity in solitude.

  • Bling Nye

Personally, I've found it quite liberating to revel in my nerddom in public, with nary a fcuk given towards what others may think, for the last *cough*some-odd years.

If you own it, there's absolutely no shame in it.

Maybe I'm partly to blame for making nerddom 'popular'... people see someone enjoying something, enjoying themselves freely and they want that same freedom and excitement. Who wouldn't? I know I've introduced quite a few people to some awesome "nerdy" interests and pursuits over the years. I've created nerds.

Was watching this video painful? YUP, it's awkward as hell and goes on waaaaay too long.

But blaming the increasing popularity of 'nerdy' interests...? GTFO. That shit is STILL AWESOME, no matter what others may choose to do with it. You sound like a goddamn hipster lamenting their favorite bands you've probably never heard of gaining mainstream popularity or *gaaasp* getting played on the radio.

I'm sorry you feel the way you do, but y'know, like someone else said much (much) more succinctly... "''Bye."
