Oh Yeah, That's It Alright: Jersey Devil Cryptid Spotted

This is the photo allegedly taken by security guard Dave Black after seeing a suspicious animal and getting out of his car on Route 9 in Galloway, New Jersey. He believes it's the Jersey Devil, a cryptid frequently associated with the area. I....really don't know about that. You could probably draw a picture that's more convincing.

"I was just driving past the golf course in Galloway on Route 9 and had to shake my head a few times when I thought I saw a lama," he wrote in his email.

"If that wasn't enough, then it spread out leathery wings and flew off over the golf course."

"Yes, I swear it's not Photoshopped or a staged thing," Black responded when I asked if he was willing to let me use his name and state that the photo he sent was not manipulated in any way. "People have said it's fake, but it's not. I'm honestly just looking for an explanation for what I saw."

When called for further comment about the photo, Dave couldn't be reached, presumably because he was too busy in his garage workshop gluing the legs back on a taxidermy goat.

Thanks to everybody who sent this, who want to believe as much as I do, but it's gonna take a lot more than somebody tossing perfectly good taxidermy into the woods.

    I WANT TO BELIEVE

Dave needed to hit the "video" button on his phone because photography is so 'done'

Launched taxidermied goat. Nice thought, though, and just in time for Halloween. Placement of the wings would be more authentic if up closer to the shoulders - no muscles in that lower-back area. Horns a nice touch.

    I give it a 6.5.

Probably he's looking for Bigfoot's lost golf ball.

Why only one picture? Did it fly away at extreme speeds or possess a cloak of invisability?

  • The original article says "Black said he grabbed his cell phone and snapped off a few photos, but only one came out."

Attached to a drone. Halloween prank. End.

    Baphomet? No, Chuck Testa!

  • Sebastiann Elegant√© Neely

Are those supposed to be wings?

  • X_Retch

    Horned llama with wings.
    There IS a God!
