Nope: Great White Shark Attacks, Pops Inflatable Boat

October 26, 2015

This is a video of a 12-foot great white shark off the coast of South Africa trying to eat a rubber boat full of tasty human treats. After the shark successfully popped the boat's pontoon, the guys had to speed back to shore as fast as possible before the boat lost all its air. Also to hose all the shit out of their wetsuits.

Keep going for the video.

Thanks to Carlos, who agrees if the three little pigs had built boats instead of houses, the first pig would have definitely built a rubber one.

it looks cute in the picture. "oh that's a LOVELY boat, omnomnom"

So much drama for nothing, shark rarelly eat humans if not ever, they go for seals, shark attacks are usually sharks attacking surfers who with their surfboard looks like seal to them..this video is a load of crap the shark was not trying to deflate the boat to eat the humans on board they arent that smart, this is not Jaws people....

  • Clampity

Yeah, what Geekologie said. Stop using reality to cease the fear.

  • Sebastiann Elegant√© Neely

Exactly my thoughts, too. Sharks are curious animals, and use exploratory mouthing/bites to check out unfamiliar objects, which is common in other animals such as dogs and even human babies.

James please don't interrupt my fear-mongering again

  • S.M. Archer

Eff your logical argument. Sharks are dangerous, relentless, blood thirsty killers! The ocean is messed up! Side note: I agree with you. but still, Sharks are scary lol.

  • Bugnut

Especially the sharks with friggin lasers. Scary.

P.S. They're going to need a bigger boat.

  • Skyinferno

P.S. I see what you did there...

  • Ollie Williams

I don't understand why anyone would go out into waters where sharks are obviously commonplace in an inflatable boat.

  • GeneralDisorder

Probably because sharks are like bears of the sea. If you leave them alone they will probably leave you alone.

And that inflatable boat isn't the sort of thing that sinks the second all the air comes out (as seen in the video where they're making a speedy trip to shore). Those inflatables are kind of rigid on the bottom. They have a hull that floats without the rubber. The rubber is there as a bumper to prevent collision damage and to make the whole thing less expensive and lighter.
